Alison Tindall, board-certified nurse coach, smiling in blue scrubs

I’m Alison, a board-certified nurse coach and founder of Thriving Willow Coaching. I created this practice to help women like you step into balance, resilience, and whole-person health, because I know firsthand how overwhelming and isolating health challenges can feel.

For 18 years, I have worked as a nurse, guiding patients through complex health decisions. I have seen the power of evidence-based care, but I have also seen a gap. After leaving the clinic or hospital, people are often still unsure how to apply those changes in their everyday lives, and they don’t always have the support to follow through.

Then my own health journey deepened my perspective. In 2023, I underwent Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG), a decision rooted in love for my family and a desire to live fully. I still remember the day it all clicked: sitting uncomfortably on the floor playing with my boys and realizing I couldn’t easily get back up. In that moment, I saw my why clearly. I wanted to be the kind of mom who could move, play, and keep up with her kids without exhaustion.

Since then, I’ve lost and maintained over 160 pounds, but more importantly, I’ve gained a life of energy, confidence, and possibility. That experience gave me a whole new level of empathy and understanding for others walking a similar path. Coaching became my way to blend nearly two decades of nursing expertise with that personal journey so no one has to navigate the ups and downs of transformation alone.

My Story & My Promise to You

For most of my life, I was the one who gave everything to everyone else—my patients, my family, my friends. As a wife, mom, and full-time nurse, I poured my heart into caring for others. But somewhere along the way, I forgot to care for myself.

I spent years putting my needs last. I was exhausted, burned out, and disconnected from the woman I wanted to be. My reflection didn’t just show extra weight, it showed emotional overload: stress, guilt, and the belief that taking care of myself was selfish.

Then one day, I decided enough was enough.

It wasn’t a quick fix. It was a series of small, intentional choices. Choosing to show up for myself one day at a time. I learned to nourish my body, protect my energy, move in ways that made me feel strong, and offer myself the compassion I so freely gave others.

As the weight came off, something more powerful emerged: clarity, confidence, and purpose.

I realized my transformation wasn’t about fitting into a smaller size. It was about stepping into a fuller life—more present with my kids, more connected to my husband, more aligned with who I was created to be.

That journey led me to my calling: helping other women do the same. Because I’ve been where you are. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, invisible, and overwhelmed by all the roles you carry. And I also know this: change is possible. Healing is possible. Thriving is possible.

My Promise to You:

I promise to walk with you—not in front of you, not behind you—but beside you as you create the life you were meant to live. A life of strength. A life of balance. A life of resilience. A life where you don’t just survive… You thrive.

Why a Willow?

The willow tree is my personal symbol of resilience and transformation. Willows bend with the wind but don’t break. They adapt, they root deeply, and they continue to grow. That’s what I want for my clients — to thrive through life’s transitions, not just survive them.
